Nagarhole National park, also known as Rajiv Gandhi national Park, is situated in the districts of Mysore and Coorg in the southern state of Karnataka in India. This is one of the most popular national parks in India and a hot tourist destination. The park was declared a part f the Project Tiger in 1999. It is a huge wildlife park that covers a huge area of 64,330 hectares and contains not just tigers but also snakes, antelopes, porcupines, sloth bears, mouse deer, bison, Indian wild dogs, and jackals in addition to scores of bird and insect varieties.
